HELL’s PremiumSetter D2000 is a large-format laser system for the direct-laser engraving of elastomer print forms, used for dry offset, typographical, flexo, and coating offset plates, and, last but not least, for the imaging of digital photopolymer print forms (LAMS). The D2000 offers all of the advantages of the PremiumSetter technology and is available in 3 different versions: D2000 PLATE, D2000 SLEEVE, and D2000 HYBRID. The process is really simple and only needs two operating phases, thus guaranteeing fast availability for printing matrices. The core of the PremiumSetter technology is made of one or two high-performance "Fiber lasers", each with a 600-W laser strength which, by removing the surrounding material, create a 3D relief to a maximum depth of 800 µm in a single operation.

With the multi-pass method it is possible to engrave as deeply as 3 mm. The laser has a 10-micron writing spot and allows a writing resolution that reaches 5080 dpi and, therefore, it is possible to obtain high-quality HD engravings. It is possible to set up and choose different writing screens to a maximum of 80l/cm without affecting performances from the PremiumSetter, which utilizes pre-set parameters to convert TIFF 1-bit data to TIFF 8-bit tridimensional engraving data, doing so as it works on the fly.

Based on the tonal value and net, it calculates height and profile of the extension of print items, images, and texts. The high-definition direct-laser engraving allows to obtain very accurate undercut engravings and precise text shapes and angles for graphic designs, which would be impossible with other production processes.

The new Glunz & Jensen exposure platforms are the best available on the market. A well-tested technology allows to use UV rays to obtain top-notch quality. Every exposure unit cools lamps down to maintain maximum efficiency, and the exposure lid is motorized for a safer and more comfortable use. The Glunz & Jensen exposure platforms are available with optional modules which may include multiple-drawer plate dryers and/or storage drawers.

The Led exposure area is air-cooled to make exposure quality stable over time. Exposure power is easily programmable for the different types of plates. The result of the exposure combines practicality and elegance with an accurate representation of printing points.

Flex-Combi is Glunz & Jensen’s versatile and convenient unit that combines the Dryer unit and the Light Finisher exposure in one whole, integrated unit. The Light Finisher unit equals to the Flex-Lite unit complemented and mounted onto the Flex-Dry one.

Flex-Lite is equipped with an electronic control system to manage UV-A/UV-C exposure and is also provided with an efficient suction system. The Flex-Dry unit, or drying unit, is equipped with 6 drying drawers which are individually controlled for an ideal and consistent drying of the plates.

Flex-In-One is the new generation of compact Glunz & Jensen machines for the exposure, development, drying, and finishing of plates up to 660 x 810 mm (26x32").
